The song clip was the fastest to get a billion hits in just 97 days. Gangnam Style took five months.

Ed Sheeran was the only performer with two videos on the list. Shape of You is a pop song with expressive Jamaican motifs. The video featured American dancer Jenny Pegusky and former Sumo wrestler Yamamotoiama Ryuta.

The track from the soundtrack to the film “Forsage 7” immortalizes the memory of Paul Walker, star of the popular movie franchise. Walker died in a car accident in 2013 when the film was still being filmed. Paul was replaced by his brothers Caleb and Cody in the remaining scenes.

A children’s song about a family of sharks has become a viral video thanks to the Korean educational project Pinkfong. This version of the song begins with a beat from Symphony No. 9 by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák which is reminiscent of music from the film Jaws.

Roar is a rather standard pop composition which found itself on the first lines of the charts in several countries at once. When the song came out, fans accused Perry of copying the Brave track by Sarah Barellis. The last one was not charged with plagiarism.
