Despacito’s reggaeton hit took the top of the charts in 47 countries and top 10 in another six countries. This is the first Spanish language record which reach the top spot on the American chart. The previous one was Macarena in 1996.

The song clip was the fastest to get a billion hits in just 97 days. Gangnam Style took five months.

Ed Sheeran – Shape of You

Ed Sheeran was the only performer with two videos on the list. Shape of You is a pop song with expressive Jamaican motifs. The video featured American dancer Jenny Pegusky and former Sumo wrestler Yamamotoiama Ryuta.
