A Comedian Juan Joya Borja Passed Away at the Age of 65
A comedian Juan Joya Borja who was best known for his meme about a Spanish laughing man died. El Risitas passed away at the age of 65. According to a Spanish newspaper, the cause of Juan Borja's death was cardiovascular disease. Because of it, El Risitas was hospitalized in the fall of 2020, and then due to complications, he underwent surgery on the leg amputation. In recent months, he was under the supervision of doctors, and on the afternoon of April 28, 2021, he died in the hospital where he had been since September last year.
Juan Joya was born on April 5, 1965, in Seville in Spain. He starred in films and TV series, but the meme brought him worldwide fame, after which he was nicknamed El Risitas. In 2002, during a TV interview, the comedian told a funny incident from that period of his life when he worked as a dishwasher in a restaurant on the beach. On the advice of a colleague, Borja mopped 20 frying pans in the ocean overnight, and in the morning found that he had lost 19 of them. They were carried away by the waves.
During the interview, Juan Borja laughed a lot, which is why he was nicknamed El Risitas. The video with him began to gain popularity from 2014-2015.
