The Third Part of Deadpool Will Be Shot by the Director of Free Guy and the Adam Project

It was reported that the director Shawn Levy has recently talked with Marvel Studios and Ryan Reynolds. And now Levy will direct the upcoming action movie Deadpool 3. The actor himself said on his Twitter that the new part of the film will be more insightful. However, he did not reveal other details concerning the project yet.

The fact that the work on the third part of the movie started became known in November 2020, when sister screenwriters Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin were involved in the business. Now their work is continued by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of Zombieland and the first two parts of Deadpool.

The sensationally successful first Deadpool was directed by Tim Miller (Terminator: Dark Fate), it was his directorial debut. And the sequel was entrusted to David Leitch (worked on Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw). Which actors will be in the cast besides Ryan Reynolds himself is still unknown.

The third part of Deadpool is expected to begin filming in May 2022. There are rumors that the company even has a tentative release date already, though things may be changed.
