Despite the pandemic, Oscar 2021 is still happening. Find out about the host

A little more than a week is left before the most expected event of the year in the world of cinematography- 93rd Academy Awards: Oscar 2021. The prestigious celebration was supposed to take place two months ago, but it was postponed. And finally, it was decided that it will happen on the night of April 25-26 in California. Despite the pandemic situation, this year the ceremony will be held in its usual format, not online. The organizers are ready to ensure the safety of the participants and guests and promise to make sure that all those who will be present do all the necessary tests in advance. They are confident that this kind of ceremony should not take place on the Zoom platform. It was also reported that for the first time the event is planning to hold not only in the United States. But possibly the organizers will use platforms in London and Paris for those who cannot fly from Europe.

And while the whole world is waiting for the ceremony it seems that many surprises await the audience. The representatives of the American Film Academy are completing the last preparations for the grand show and are gradually revealing interesting details of the festival of cinema. According to the organizers, the host of the upcoming ceremony, this year will be the famous actor Brad Pitt and the star of the Spider-Man movie Zendaya. A pretty stellar list was also announced: the figurines will also be presented by Joaquin Phoenix, Laura Dern, Halle Berry, Reese Witherspoon, and other celebrities.

Due to the pandemic, it was decided to cancel Oscar parties and dinners. In addition, it was also reduced the number of invited guests. Therefore, the ceremony itself will be attended only by the nominees for the award together with their accompaniment. Firstly, they will gather at Los Angeles Union Station, and another part of the ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater.
