Hip-Hop Artist Shock G Also Known as Humpty Hump Died at the Age of 57
A hip-hop artist and producer from America Shock G who was also known as Humpty Hump was found dead. He was 57 years old. The musician's closest relatives said that his body was discovered in a hotel room located in Tampa, Florida. The cause of death hasn't been named yet.
Gregory Jacobs (his real name) was born on August 25, 1963, in New York City. He was the leader of Digital Underground hip-hop group. He founded the band in 1987 in Oakland city together with such artists as Chopmaster J and Kenny-K. The band's songs have appeared in many films and TV shows. The artist was best known for his hit The Humpty Dance appeared in 1990.
In part of the Digital Underground, which existed until 2008, about 40 different rappers performed at different times, including 2Pac, whose career was started thanks to his participation in the band. Shock G also featured on 2Pac's single I Get Around. In addition, he produced his debut album, 2Pacalypse Now.
2Pac was killed in 1996 during a conflict between hip-hop artists from the East and West coasts of America.
