Felix Chelberg, AKA PewDiePie has entered into an exclusive deal with YouTube that will only broadcast live on Google. The amount of the deal will not be disclosed.
PewDiePie YouTube channel has 104 million subscribers and more than 25 billion views. Last April, Chelberg concluded an exclusive deal with the streaming platform DLive where he was last broadcast on January 3 this year.
Apparently, the deal between PewDiePie and YouTube has become part of the struggle of streaming platforms for popular streamers.
In August 2019 one of the most popular streamers in the world Tyler “Ninja” Blevins switched from Twitch to Mixer which is owned by Microsoft. According to the media, Blevins received from $ 20 to 30 million for many years of exclusive deal.
Soon after that Shroud and KingGothalion switched to the Mixer, CouRage chose YouTube Gaming and DisguisedToast chose Facebook Gaming. However, there were also those who stayed on Twitch, for example DrLupo, TimTheTatman, LIRIK and DrDisrespect.
