Prince Philip checked out of the hospital of King Edward VII's which is located in London after a month of treatment. The 99-year-old man came through heart surgery earlier this month. He is now in good condition after being released on Tuesday- some sources say. According to a statement from Buckingham Palace, he safely returned to Windsor Castle.

Philip, who was hospitalized on February 16, was treated in a private institution after previously having a heart operation at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. "He would like to thank all the medical staff of other workers who helped and looked after him in both hospitals where he was staying, as well as all the people who sent their good wishes”- was also said in the statement.

However, it was reported that his sent to the hospital last month was not urgent and was not related to Covid-19.

Philip and his wife, Queen Elizabeth II, got at least one portion of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Philip, who by the way turns 100 in June, retired from public life in 2017 and has been placed under impatient care several times in recent years. The Queen together with her husband spent most of the past year at Windsor Castle outside London, moving from Buckingham Palace during the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020.
