Roger Dickens

Legendary cinematographer Roger Dickens was knighted on 1 February by Prince Charles. The ceremony took place at Windsor Castle. The cinematographer is responsible for filming The Shawshank Redemption, A Beautiful Mind, 007: Skyfall, Blade Runner 2049, and many others.

The man is one of the most titled representatives of cinema in the world. He has five BAFTA awards, five awards from the American Society of Cinematographers, and so on. The operator called the knighting a great honor, which he would like to share with everyone he has ever worked with.

When asked what he was proud of in his eventful career, he modestly replied that he did not attach importance to awards. According to him, Prince Charles asked if the cameraman was still enthusiastic about his work. Dickens, who is 72 years old, said yes and revealed that he is currently working on a new film with Sam Mendes.
