The Director of the First Parts of Harry Potter Is Ready To Film the Cursed Child
It's been ten years since the release of the last Harry Potter movie, but fans continue to dream of a sequel. And not only them. The director of the first and second parts of Harry Potter, Chris Columbus, gave an interview where he expressed his desire to make a film based on the play Cursed Child, which continues the events of the original films. It takes place just after the epilogue of the seventh book when Harry and his wife meet with Ron and Hermione to take the children to the train to Hogwarts. Columbus noted that the main trinity of actors is now at an age that is perfect for the filming. They are just over 30 years old.
The two-part play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was huge and won five Tony Awards. The play gained success on Broadway when it arrived in 2018. The production in London took place two years earlier. Meanwhile, the slightly grown stars are still trying to get out of the image, and it will take a lot of money to persuade them.
Now, the studio is working on a potential Harry Potter series and video game titled Hogwarts Legacy. It was supposed to be released this year, but it was postponed to the next. The role-playing game was announced back in 2020. The events take place in the 19th century around a student who has an ancient secret. She is able to divide the world of wizards into parts. The next film in the Harry Potter universe is Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The premiere is scheduled for April 7, 2022.
