Princess Beatrice Became a Mother for the First Time

The granddaughter of Elizabeth II and her aristocratic husband became parents for the first time. This was reported on the official website of the royal family. The grandparents of the newborn are happy and thanked all the hospital staff for their excellent work and care. Thus, the Queen of Great Britain became a great-grandmother for the 12th time. In total, the Queen has four children, along with eight grandchildren, and now 12 great-grandchildren.

Princess Beatrice gave birth to a daughter in a London hospital on Saturday. The girl is absolutely healthy and weighs 2.78 kg. The name has not yet been revealed, despite the fact that she is now ranked 11th in line to the throne. The child's father is a businessman from the Italian aristocratic family Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Edoardo already has a 5-year-old son from a previous relationship.

The fact that the couple is expecting a baby became known in May 2021, almost a year after the wedding. The lovers announced their engagement back in September 2019, and the wedding was planned for May 2020. But due to the pandemic situation, the 33-year-old princess secretly married the Italian developer in July last year. The private ceremony took place at Windsor Castle. It was attended by the parents of the Princess of York, the Duke of York Andrew and the Duchess of York Sarah, as well as the British Queen Elizabeth II and the late Duke Philip of Edinburgh.
